The office of SCHWARTZ & SCHWARTZ, P.A. was founded in 1952 by Jack L. Schwartz and is located on Congress Street in the heart of downtown Portland, Maine.

Jack Schwartz was a well known and respected attorney in Portland for over 43 years. His legacy of extensive contact with clients and effective zealous representation of his clients is carried on by his son, Stephen J. Schwartz, who joined the office in 1987. Prior to joining the law office, Stephen served as an Assistant District Attorney in York County, Maine.

Over the years, we have served thousands of clients, from the most serious complex cases to those of a less serious nature.

We utilize state-of-the-art technology and cost-effective methods to provide services in a timely, client-oriented manner in an ethical, friendly, and professional environment. Our approach focuses on each client's background, needs, and goals, and we are committed to responding promptly to telephone calls, to reporting on cases regularly, and to minimizing and eliminating risk by informing clients of significant changes in the law.
